CommonCraft has been around for years and has a focus on creating educational videos on a variety of topics that are easy to understand. The videos use stop-action animation & paper cut-outs to illustrate a topic. See Zombies in Plain English.

Creating CommonCraft inspired videos in varying educational contexts is not a new idea, but one that I have used with success from Grade 3 through to adult learners. I recently challenged a Year 10 science class to create a ‘Bonding In Plain English’ video.

No instruction provided other than introducing them to the concept. 150 minutes later & this was the quality of work that was produced.
